Terms and Conditions

Last updated: April 13, 2026
ClearHurdle is a connection layer between you and third-party AI platforms. We facilitate the exchange — we do not own, control, or take responsibility for the AI outputs you receive. Please read these terms carefully before using the service.

1 Agreement

By accessing or using ClearHurdle at clearhurdle.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users including free and paid accounts.

2 What ClearHurdle is

ClearHurdle is a software interface that routes user-submitted problems to up to four third-party AI platforms (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI) and returns their responses in a structured adversarial debate format. The specific platforms engaged in any session depend on the engines selected by the user. ClearHurdle does not:

  • Own, operate, or train any AI model
  • Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated response
  • Provide professional advice of any kind — legal, financial, medical, or otherwise
  • Take responsibility for decisions made based on AI outputs

AI responses are generated by third-party platforms and may be incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate for your specific situation. Always apply your own judgement. ClearHurdle is a thinking tool, not a decision-maker. Users may optionally contribute challenge inputs during debate sessions for system improvement purposes. This is voluntary, clearly labelled, and governed by the Privacy Policy.

3 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use ClearHurdle. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts found to belong to minors.

4 Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abuse of the service, or attempt to circumvent credit limits or payment systems.

5 Credits and payments

ClearHurdle operates on a credit system. Credits may be purchased as single-session passes or in bulk packs and are consumed when sessions are run.

Free first session (guest)
1 free session — 3 engines only
Free credits on signup
3 credits
Single session — 3 engines
$0.50 per session
Single session — 4 engines
$0.75 per session
Cost per debate round
0.5 credits
Additional cycle
$0.50 per cycle

Credit consumption varies by engine count and number of cycles run. You will always see an estimated cost before starting and must approve each additional cycle before credits are charged.

Credit expiry
Credits do not expire
Transferability
Non-transferable between accounts
We operate a fair credit policy. Credits are not charged for rounds that fail due to technical errors. If a session fails entirely, credits are automatically returned. If you run out mid-session, your session pauses and resumes after top-up. Refund requests for unsatisfactory results can be submitted via in-app feedback — reviewed within 24 hours. Unused credit packs may be refunded within 14 days of purchase — contact [email protected]. Outside these cases all purchases are final.

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy who acts as the merchant of record. Your payment details are handled entirely by Lemon Squeezy and are subject to their terms and privacy policy. ClearHurdle never sees or stores your payment information.

6 Acceptable use

You agree not to use ClearHurdle to submit content that:

  • Is illegal under any applicable law
  • Violates the terms of service of Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI
  • Contains personal data of third parties without their consent
  • Is designed to generate harmful, abusive, or fraudulent outputs
  • Attempts to reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract data from the Service
  • Involves automated or programmatic submission without our written permission

Violation of acceptable use may result in immediate account termination without refund of remaining credits.

7 AI output disclaimer

Outputs generated through ClearHurdle are produced by third-party AI systems and are provided for informational and exploratory purposes only. They do not constitute:

  • Legal advice — consult a qualified lawyer
  • Financial advice — consult a qualified financial advisor
  • Medical advice — consult a qualified medical professional
  • Any other form of professional advice

ClearHurdle makes no warranty that AI outputs are accurate, current, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. AI outputs may reflect the biases, limitations, or errors of the underlying models, which are operated by independent third parties. The debate structure used by ClearHurdle is designed to improve output quality through adversarial review, but this does not guarantee accuracy or professional-grade advice. You use AI outputs entirely at your own risk. ClearHurdle accepts no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from reliance on AI-generated content, regardless of whether such content was produced through a single-engine session, a multi-engine debate, or any number of debate cycles.

8 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClearHurdle and Karam Bouini shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any AI-generated content you receive through the Service
  • Any decisions made based on AI outputs
  • Interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service
  • Unauthorised access to your account
  • Actions of third-party AI providers or payment processors

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for credits in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9 Third-party services

ClearHurdle depends on third-party services including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, Supabase, Lemon Squeezy, and Cloudflare. We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or actions of these services. Interruptions to third-party services — including AI provider outages, API rate limits, or capacity constraints — may affect the availability of ClearHurdle and do not entitle you to a refund of credits unless the session failed entirely due to a ClearHurdle infrastructure error. Session state data may be temporarily stored in your browser's local storage to enable session resumption — this data remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers beyond what is needed to resume your session. AI provider outages are outside our control and are not grounds for liability claims against ClearHurdle.

10 Service availability

We do not guarantee that the Service will be available at all times. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime where possible.

11 Intellectual property

The ClearHurdle name, logo, interface design, and underlying software are owned by Karam Bouini. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

AI-generated outputs produced through your sessions are not claimed by ClearHurdle. You are free to use them subject to the terms of the respective AI providers.

12 Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

13 Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14 Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with internationally recognised principles of commercial law. In the event of a dispute, we will first attempt to resolve it informally. Contact us at [email protected] before initiating any formal proceedings.

If informal resolution fails, disputes shall be referred to binding arbitration under internationally recognised arbitration rules. Both parties waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in class action proceedings. For users based in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, any disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to arbitration in a mutually agreed neutral jurisdiction.

15 Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17 Beta contributions

If you choose to submit a challenge during a debate session and consent to beta recording via the explicit checkbox provided, you grant ClearHurdle a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that anonymised input solely for the purpose of improving the service. Your submission will never be attributed to you publicly and will not be shared with third parties.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by contacting [email protected]. Withdrawal of consent will result in deletion of any stored challenge data associated with your account within 30 days.
